Ketan Deshpande

I am the Founder & CEO of Friends Union for Energising Lives (FUEL), an organization dedicated to future skills development and education. With an MBA from Symbiosis International University (SCMHRD), I have had the privilege of working alongside national and corporate leaders, overseeing impactful grassroots projects. FUEL’s impact is truly remarkable, with a cumulative outreach of 1.1 million youth through various CSR projects. We have expanded our operations to Africa, Indonesia, and beyond, implementing projects worth over 20 million USD. Our vision is to establish FUEL as a leading Future Skills Institute and University in Pune and other parts of India, ensuring the next generation is equipped with essential skills for success. I am honored to have received numerous awards, including being recognized as a Top 25 CSR Impact Leader of India by India CSR. The prestigious Pavate Fellowship at the University of Cambridge and the esteemed Champions of Change Award by Niti Aayog, graced by the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi Ji, are among the notable accolades I have been privileged to receive. Former President of India, Dr. Kalam, bestowed me with an exceptional honor, and I was also awarded the prestigious Ashoka Fellowship in 2012, further validating our commitment to social impact. Representing India at the Global Entrepreneurship Summit GES-2016 held at Stanford University, hosted by Former President Obama, was an unforgettable experience. I have also completed the Entrepreneurship Program at Stanford University and am currently pursuing a PhD in CSR at Symbiosis International University, constantly seeking to broaden my knowledge and expertise.
On a personal note, my family has deep roots in the Indian freedom movement, and my mother’s legacy as a former Judge inspires me to contribute positively to society.
